Mr. Keith Corner is the CTO and Director of Valued Technology's Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) Consulting Group. He also serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for clients, business, operations and technology teams on topics in multiple areas of technology (network, hardware, software, systems, data architecture, component-based architecture, security, application and content management) providing a one-stop technical architecture resource for project opportunities. A proven executive with multidisciplinary experience in high-level, technology and program management, Mr. Corner has over thirty five years of experience in technical management in the USA and the UK, utilizing a wide variety of leading edge technologies.
Mr. Corner holds an Executive MBA from Loyola College, Baltimore Maryland, and a B.Sc. in Statistics from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. He is a Professional Member of The British Computer Society (MBCS) where he is also a certified IT professional (CITP). Mr. Corner is a certified Earned Value Professional (EVP) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Prior to joining VTI, Mr. Corner was focused on the program management of enterprise-wide information technology (IT) projects and programs. This experience spans multiple invocations of Systems Development Lifecycles (SDLC) encompassing requirements analyses through concept exploration, systems development, software development, systems validation and verification, and operational deployment and support.
Mr. Corner's successful project and program management experience ranges from projects of approximately $1 Million to programs of approximately $160 Million in value. Mr. Corner has a diverse IT background delivering concurrent small to multi-million dollar projects such as Web and Software Development (SDLC, Waterfall, Agile), ERP implementation, IT Infrastructure and IT Services Management. Mr. Corner is experienced in managing, assessing and implementing software development programs, he has served on five Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) SCAMPI appraisal level 3 teams. Mr. Corner is focused on improving software development processes and he embraces Agile development methodologies.
Prior to joining VTI Mr. Corner held Independent government Verification and Validation (IV&V) Program Manager positions for Keane Federal Systems, his programs included DOI's , Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE), Technical Information Management System (TIMSweb), DHS's, Customs and Border Protection's , Secure Borders Initiative Network (SBInet) and the SEC's Electronic Data Gathering and Reporting System (EDGAR).
In the non-government domain Mr. Corner is most proud of his technical achievements with Aeronautical Radio (ARINC) where he progressed from principal engineer to a software executive managing an engineering staff of more than 100. At ARINC he was responsible for the design, implementation, testing and support of the company's external ground to ground data network, this worldwide network serves over 700 customers including all major airlines, the FAA and most foreign flag civilian air agencies.
